About Us
Speaker's Corner is an endeavour to make English-speaking a fun, easy, and uninhibited attempt for all. A brainchild of Reshma Kulkarni-Pathare, Speaker's Corner means weekend get-togethers over a cup of coffee, where anybody over the age of 12 can join in to indulge in word games, chats, casual conversations and impromptu topics of discussion - the only condition being that, all of this will be in English. With her experience and expertise of being a wordsmith, Reshma plays a catalyst and mentor to these fun meet-ups which also serve as platforms for participants to make new friends and network.

Reshma Kulkarni-Pathare is a media professional with 20 years of experience. In her illustrious career in the media, she has donned multiple hats viz. Freelance journalist, Editor, award-winning Translator, Visiting Faculty at two esteemed colleges, and Cultural Fluent. A Sankyu-level proficient in Japanese, Reshma has always been a linguist to the core. Her articles have been published in more than 40 publications, some of which include Times Of India, Bombay Times, The Hindu, Mumbai Mirror, DNA, Maharashtra Times, Femina, Cosmopolitan, New Woman and so on. She has also been syndicated by a UK-based news agency who featured her work in Hello UAE, Hello UAE PMC etc. Apart from being a journalist, Reshma is a wordsmith who translates books from English to Marathi and vice versa and has five published translations under her belt, including one being a State Award winner. Reshma has been a Visiting Faculty member for the post-graduate media courses at MET and WeSchool Welingkar. Currently, she works as a Cultural Fluent for a US-based global conglomerate. Speaker's Corner is her labour of love to equip people to speak English confidently, sans inhibitions.
